Whereas Henry Pountfreit, late citizen and alderman of London, John de Fynderne and John de Faireclogh of Derby acquired . -Parr 2. 597 me ee fee from Edmund Tunley of Derby, kinsman and heir of John esquire, five messuages, four shops and 15s. of rent in the parish St. Nicholas and elsewhere in London, held in chief, by the name of the lands, rents and possessions which descended to the said Edmund the said John within the city of London and the franchises thereof ; afterwards demised the said messuages and shops by the name of messuages with their shops in Seynt Nicholas Flesshehamels in the of London, which Nicholas de Kent, Robert Tanner and Peter Tyler held for a term of years, and two messuages with their shops and in Seynt Nicholas Flesshehamels, in which John Tunley, and Richard Malyn lately dwelt, and all the lands, rents and which they had of the gift and feoffment of Edmund de in London and its franchises to John del Bothe, John his son, del Fere, Richard Colt, Robert de Halghton, John de Midelton, and de York, vicar of the church of Eccles, to hold to them and the heirs John del Bothe; and the parties successively entered: and afterwards said Edmund, by the name of Edmund de Tunley of Derby, released the said John del Bothe and others his right in the premises, with addition that the said John de Tunley had them by grant of Henry IV. subsequently Magota sometime the wife of the said John de Tunley all her right in the premises, and the said John son of John del John del Fere, Richard Colt, Robert Haloghton, John Midelton John de York released their right to the said John del Bothe, the name of John del Bothe of Barton, his heirs and assigns ; he, by the name of John del Bothe of the county of Lancaster, Thomas More, late dean of St. Paul's, London, William chivaler, Reginald Kentwode, archdeacon of London, Chitterne and Henry Jolypas, clerk, their heirs and assigns the premises by the name of 4 messuages with their shops in_ the of St. Nicholas in the Shambles, London, 15s. of quit rent from prior of St. Bartholomew's by Smythfeld in the same city out of messuages behind the butchers stalls in the said shambles, 10s. quit rent from the master of the college of St. Laurence, Pounteney, of certain messuages in Chapeside, in the parish of St. Vedast, of quit rent from the dean and chapter of St. Martin's le Grand, out of certain messuages in Destafelane, in Oldefischein the parish of St. Nicholas Colde Abbey, 6s. 8. of quit rent of the lands and tenements sometime of James de Northampton Pentecostlane, in the parish of St. Nicholas in the Shambles, 6s. of rent from John Dyndon, taillour, out of certain messuages in in the parish of St. Mary, Stanynglane, and all the lands he had with John his son, John del Fere and the others named of the gifts and feoffment of Henry Pountfreit, citizen and alderman London, John de Fynderne and John de Faireclogh of Derby, of all lands &c. which he had of the demise, confirmation or of John Kyng, chaplain, and which the said Henry, John de and John Faireclogh had by the gift and grant of Edmund de Afterwards the said John del Bothe executed a release of his in the premises, as last described, except that the 7s. quit rent by the dean and chapter of St. Martin's le Grand are described as out of messuages in Dyslafelane and Oldefisshe Strete; and the William Hankeford, dean, archdeacon and Henry Jolypas subsereleased to John Chittern their co-feoffee, his heirs and assigns, all right in part of the premises by the name of 4 messuages with shops other appurtenances, situated together in the parish of St. Nicholas in tont. the Shambles, London, 15s. a year of quit rent from the prior and convent of St. Bartholomew's by Smythfeld, London, out of certain messuages behind the butchers stalls in the said shambles, which four messuages, with their shops, lie together in the said parish between tenements belonging to London Bridge on the west and the stone wall of the garden of the Friars Minors of London on the north, the king's street of the said shambles on the south and a little lane by which one goes from the shambles to the said friars garden on the east, which they had with the said John Chittern, with other rents &c. of the gift and grant of John del Bothe of the county of Lancaster: then the said John Chitterne enfeoffed Roger Coupere, Robert Rikherst, Nicholas Osberne, Thomas Sumunour, butcher, and Roger Sharp, skinner, citizens of London, and the heirs and assigns of the said Roger Coupere, of the said 4 messuages, 5 shops and 15s. of rent, situated as last described ; they entered into the premises and he released to them his right therein; and afterwards the sald Roger Couper, Nicholas Osborne and Roger Sharp died seised of the premises and the said Thomas Sumnour released all his right therein to the said Robert Rikherst ; and subsequently one William Couper, as son and heir of the said Roger Couper, entered upon the possession of the said Robert Rikherst in the said messuages, shops and rent, and put him out, claiming them as his inheritance after the death of his said father, and the said Robert Rikherst released to him. The king, for 10/. paid in the hanaper, has pardoned all trespasses in this behalf and granted that William Couper shall retain the premises in fee.
