A release by Mariota relict of John de Parys, sometime citizen of York, daughter of Simon Crisplok and of Christiana daughter of Adam Flour of York, to the abbot and convent of her right in the land where the great corner tower is situated in Bouthum, reaching to St. Mary Street on one side and the borough of Bouthum on the other, which lands were sometime of Serlo Broun and Adam Flour and of the said Simon Crispelok and Christiana. Witnesses, Nicholas de Langeton, mayor of York, Roger Basy, Henry de Scorby, Robert de Dalby, Robert de Raysebek, bailiffs of York, Richard de Huntyngton, Adam Kyngeson, Nicholas de Appilby, and William Fox, citizens of York, William de Sutton, William le Barker and William de Abbatia of Bouthum. Dated in the monastery of St. Mary, York, 8 February A.D. 1881. 18. Release by William de Nesse, rector of the church of Kirkeby in Hundoldale, to the abbot and convent of his right in that plot in Bouthome with its buildings and appurtenances which he had by the gift of Thomas Lundrays of Pokelyngton, the said plot extending in width between land of the abbot and convent and in length from the king's high street of Bouthome to the stone wall of the abbot and convent. Witnesses, Gilbert de Shirburn, Stephen de Coverham, Thomas de Appelby, Robert del See and William le Barker. Dated at Bouthom, Wednesday, the octave of Martinmas A.D. 1882, 6 Edward III.
