Commission to Thomas Arundell, John Herle, John Salter and John Bryt, and to two or three of them, to hold enquiry as to the king's lieges who recently seized at sea a ship called la Seynt Julyan of Kempercarantyn in Brittany, whereof John Quequen was master and Oliver Quyntyn, freighter, laden with wines of la Rochel to the number of 43 tuns and 1 pipe; and also another ship called Seynt Ives of the same town, whereof Ivo Morys was master and William Lennon, freighter, laden with salt, iron, linen cloth and other merchandise, to the value of 1,500 crowns, and brought the said ships to the town of Drullo in Cornwall, where they are still detained. The commissioners are to ascertain the circumstances and value of these captures and to enforce restitution.
