It was found by inquisition before Geoffrey Rokell, escheator in the county of Essex, that John Bohun, knight, deceased, granted to Thomas Dale, clerk, and John Leget, chaplain, who still survive, their heirs and assigns, the manor of Filolleshall in Kelweden with its appurtenances in the towne of Kelweden, Feryng, Great Braxstede, Messyng, Inneworth, Bradwell by Coggeshale, Esthorp, Copford, Great Brych, Tolleshunte Treygose, Tolleshunte Chivaler and Terlyng whereby they were seised, without the king's leave being obtained, and that the premises are held of the king as of the castle of Dover by the service of one knight's fee. On the desth of the said John Bohun and by reason of this trespass the premises were taken into the king's hand, but now, for 10 marks paid in the hanaper, he has pardoned the trespass and granted that the said Thomas and John Leget shall have the manor again.
