Pardon to John de Lucy for acquiring in tail a plot of waste called Carlisle. Wythehop, which he afterwards built upon and made a dwelling-place of, the . manor of Whynfell, an eighth part of the town of Broghton, three messuages and 40 acres of land in Caldebeck, and a rent of 12 skips (skepparum) of flour in Aspatrik, co. Cumberland, from Alice de Lucy, deceased, who held them by knight service of Henry III., with reversion to the heirs of Alice; with licence for him to have them again. By fine of 10 marks. 19.
