Grant to Isabella de Clare, to whom the king, on 30 May, 33 Edward I. committed the custody, during the minority of the heirs, of the manor and town of Boreford, co. Oxford, and of all the lands in Spenhamelonde, co. Berks, and Marthe by Falefeld, co. Gloucester, which were in the king's hands by reason of the minority of Gilbert son and heir of Gilbert de Clare, sometime earl of Gloucester and Hertford, and of John son and heir of John Giffard of Brymmeefeld, tenants in chief, at a rent at the Exchequer by the hands of the escheator this side Trent of 74/.; that she be discharged of 24/. due for the said manor and lands in Spenhamelond and Marthe from the 15 October, 33 Edward I. on which date the king transferred the said custody to Ralph de Monte Hermeri, earl of Gloucester and Hertford.
