Grant to John de Segrave and Christiana his wife in extension of a sale to the said John, made in pursuance of a power to sell custudies and marriages in payment of the king's debt to the earl, by the abbot of Hayles, William de Bereford and Walter de Aylesbury, executors of the will of Edmund, sometime earl of Cornwall, of the custody during the minority of the heirs of the lands late of Hugh de Plessetis, tenant in chief, with the marriage of the heirs, which sale the king accepted that the said John and Christiana and their executors, if they die before the heirs come of age, may have all knights fees, advowsons of churches,and escheats which may fall in by reason of the said custody, saving to Margaret, late the wife of the said Hugh, her dower thereof; and after the death of the said Margaret, if she die before the heirs come of age, the lands she holds in dower late of the said Hugh, with the knights fees and advowsgons.
