Commission to Walter de Aylesbury and Nicholas de Spershet to make an extent by jury of the county of Oxford of the following lands, &c., of which Margaret, late the wife of Edmund, sometime earl of Cornwall, the king's kinsman, who held in chief, prays before the justices of the Bench to have the third part as dower, to wit : Against Edmund son of Richard de Cornubia, a third of two parts of the manor of Esthall with the advowson of the church. Against Joan, late the wife of the said Richard, a third of a third part of the said manor and advowson. Against the abbot of Rewley by Oxford, a third of the manor of Erdyngton, a third of 40 messaages, 15 tofts, carucate and 20 virgates of land and 30s. rent in Wylauston ; a third ot 60s. rent in Stoke Talemache ; a third of the site of the abbey of Northoseneye ; a third of 100 acres of land, 50 acres of meadow, 25s. 24d. rent and of the franchise of frank-pledge in Northoseneye ; a third of 2,000 acres of wood in Nettlebed and Bensigton. Against Bartholomew de Kancia, a third of the manor of Halughton. Against Walter de Aylesbury, a third of a messuage and 3 carucates of land in Roulesham, Barton and Ludewell; a third of a knight's fee in the said towns, of the advowson of the church of Roulesham, and of the profit of the view of frank-pledge in Roulesham. Against the rector of Aseherugge, a third of the manors of Cestreton and Aumbresden and of the advowsons of the churches thereof. Against Roger de Merlawe, dean of the chapel of St. Nicholas, Walingford castle, a third of 40 . rent in Wareburewe and Shelbrigford, co. Oxford.
