The like to Hervey de Staunton, Thomas de Rupe and William de Caumvill the elder, on complaint by the prior and Friars Preachers of Exeter that Master Walter de Stapeldon, Master John de Upaven and Master John de Wele, with a multitude of others, entered their closes at Exeter, co. Devon, entered their church there and broke the lattices (sntersticia) before the altars, assaulted the Friars and beat some, and carried away some ornaments of the church and other goods. 80.
