Inspeximus and confirmation of letters patent dated at York, 9 December Edward I. appointing the prior and convent of Semplingham to the for seven years from the preceding Michaelmas, and at a rent at the of 1502. a year, of the manors of Folkyngham and Edenhan, Lincoln, except 9/. 3s. 4d. of rent, assigned in dower to Lora, late the wife Gilbert de Gaunt, in the manor of Edenham, with a proviso that all the thereof arising from the said Michaelmas until the following Martintogether with the farms and rents of the said manors for the snid term, which the king had granted to the executors of the will of de Sancto Johanne who held them for life, for the execution of his be allowed the prior and convent in the said farm; and saving to the wards, reliefs, escheats, knights fees, advowsons of churches and dowers they fall in. Extension of a grant during pleasure to a grant for life to John Hayward, serjeant, of the bailiwick of the forestership of Galtres with the of Ingoldethweyt and Alwaldecotes, which William Gryvel, lately held by grant of the king, on condition that he answer, as before, the Exchequer in like manner as the said William used todo.
