Grant, in consideration of a fine of 100/. to be paid by the abbess into Westminster. the wardrobe by the feast of the Assumption, that the prioress and convent of Shafton shal] have the custody of the abbey during voidance after the cession or decease of Mabel Giffard, the present abbess, and shall receive all the issues thereof, as well in tallages of their men as in lands and other goods which would belong to the king this time if he had the custody. No bailiff or other minister is to intermeddle therein, and they are to have the free administration of their goods, saving to the king advowsons of churches, wards, escheats of knights fees, if any fall in during the voidance, and the custody hereafter.
