(rant to the prior of Worcester, who has lent the king 40/. and delivered the same to the king's kinsman Richard of York for the payment of the wages of himself and the men at arms and archers on the safe-custody of the parts of Wales and the marches adjoining for the defence of the realm, that he shall be paid that sum from his own tenths at the hands of the abbot of Teukesbury and the prior of Lantony, collectors of the tenth last granted to the king by the clergy of the province of Canterbury in the archdeaconries of Gloucester and Worcester.
