Whereas Walter Jordan of the county of Pembroke has of the king's grant the custody of two parts of the manors of Roch and Pull in South Wales, rendering to the king the extent, which two parts came to the hands of Richard II by the death of Margaret late the wife of Roger Claryngdon and afterwards to the king's hands because she held them in chief to remain there until the right heirs should sue them out, and although they were extended at first at 28/. and at present on account of the rebellion of the Welsh do not exceed the value of 100s. nevertheless he is charged at the Exchequer according to the first extent fora year and a half out of the king's fourth and fifth years; the king, in consideration of bis costs and labours on the defence and safe-custody of South Wales during the rebellion, pardons to him these arrears.
