Richard Neville, earl of Salisbury, and Alesia his wife, -at the request, by fine levied before the justices of the Bench at Westminster morrow of Martinmas, 24 Henry VI, acknowledged an acre of land co. Southampton, then parcel of the manor of Ryngwoode, to Alesia and the heirs of her body, with the advowson of the church of Ryngwood pertaining to the manor, to be the right of provost and scholars of the college of St. Mary and St. Nicholas, king, on surrender of letters patent dated 20 March, VI, by John Conyers, knight, and Christopher Conyers, esquire, granted to the said Richard and Alesia and the heirs of her body sheriffs tourns, views of frankpledge twice yearly, waifs, strays and of bread and ale within the lordship and fee of Richemond, co. and the whole precinct called Richemondshire, co. York, the returns writs whatsoever and the executions thereof, infangthef and and the execution thereof with all liberties which John, duke of Bedford, had in the same lordship, fee and precinct, the and chattels of felons, fugitives, outlaws and condemned persons, the or wapentake of Hangwest, co. York, two parts of the fee farm town of Richemond, two parts of a garden called le Erl Orchard of a place or wood called Whitclyf in Richemond, two parts of the of Catryk, Aldeburgh and Great Danby on Wysk, co. York, with advowson of the parish church of Great Danby on Wysk, and two of all the king's lands in Catryk, Aldeburgh and Great Danby, with fees, free warrens and services of freeholders, and of the third of the premises after the death of Jacquetta, duchess of Bedford, Richard Wydevyle, knight, and the said duchess, his wife, hold in of the king's inheritance for her life, with reversion to the king, to by the service of a fortieth part of a knight's fee, with remainder to heirs of the body of William Montagu, late earl of Salisbury; and if of the premises be recovered, they shall have compensation in posseswith a grant of money at the Receipt of the Exchequer, till the said be made, And because Humphrey, duke of Gloucester, has for life of the issues of the said two parts by letters patent dated 17 Henry VI, the king has granted to the said earl and his wife for Humphrey s life, the equivalent of the said issues from the and profits of Northumberland, of the manor of Dighton by co.
