Exemption, for life, of Richard Riche, citizen and mercer of London, from being put on assizes, juries, recognitions, attaints or inquisitions and from being made mayor, knight for the commonalty of any county or citizen or burgess of any city or borough of England to come to Parliament, alderman, bailiff, sheriff, escheator, coroner, constable or reeva, collector, assessor, taxer or controller of tenths, fifteenths, taxes, tallages, quotas or other subsidies, trier, arrayer or leader of men at arms, archers, or hobelers, or other officer, commissioner or minister of the king; and grant that no purveyor of the king's or other s household take his wheat, rye, barley, malt, beans, peas, oats, hay, wood, crops, faggots, coals, carts, ships, small ships, boats, carriage, litter, straw, horses, oxen, cows, sheep, calves, swine, fish, conies, pheasants, partridges, cocks, hens, capons, pullets, swans, geese, ducks or fowl alive or dead, against his will, the production of these presents being sufficient warrant herefor; and pardon to him of all trespasses, offences, contempts, concealments, deceptions, extorltions, misprisions, oppressions, Maintenances, entries, champerties, impeachments, insurrections, conspiracies, negligences, escapes of felons and fugitives, ignorances and other offences committed by him hitherto and any consequent outlawry, and all debts, accounts, prests, arrears of accounts, and all fines, amercements, issues forfeit, reliefs, pecuniary pains and securities hitherto forfeited by him. 14, Whereas John Warner, esquire, John Bernard, John Ultyng the elder, son of John Ultyng, William Davenyssh and John Child acquired to them. their heirs and assigns of John Brede of Great Waltham a moiety of a toft, fifty acres of land, 4 acres of meadow, 4 acres of wood and 26d. of rent in Felsted, co. Essex, held in chief, and granted the same to Master Richard Parker, John FitzSymond, Philip Manchestre and John Someresford, their heirs and assigns ; and John Brede by the name of John Bred of Great Waltham released all his right therein to the said Richard, John, Philip and John, their heirs and assigns; and afterwards the said Richard, by the name of Richard Parker, son of John Parker of Great Waltham the younger by Apechild Park (sic), John Fitz Symond, Philip and John Somersford by the name of John Someresford of Plesch .--Parr II. 255 acquired to them, their heirs and assigns of John Hamund of Great Waltham, late commorant in Great Leyghes, the other moiety of the premises, which John Hamund with Alice his wife had of the grant of Maud Enefeld, tenant in chief, and entered therein; and afterwards Thomas Haselee, esquire, John Ereheth, esquire, Thomas Bateman, esquire, and John Saward of Felsted acquired to them, their heirs and assigns of the said Richard Parker and John Someresford of Plecy the said moieties and entered therein; and afterwards Richard by the name of Richard Parker, esquire, and Launcelot Penycoke, son of John Penycoke, acquired to them, their heirs and assigns of the said Thomas, John Ereheth, Thomas and John Saward the said moieties and entered therein, without the royal licence : the king, for 40s. paid in the hanaper of chancery, has pardoned the trespasses herein and grantéd to the said Richard and Launcelot that they may have the premises to them and the heirs of the body of Launcelot, with remainder to Joan, daughter of the said Richard, wife of John Penycoke, and the heirs of her body, with remainder over to the right heirs of Richard.
