Grant to the king's serjeant, Thomas de Thorneton, the king's pavilioner, of the keeping of a messuage and 80 acres of land, meadow and pasture in Orset, belonging to John Jott, which have come into the king's hand because the said John is an idiot, as has been found by examination made of his person in the Chancery by John Knyvet, the chancellor, and others of the council, to hold for such time as the premises remain in the king's hand; provided always that he find sustenance for the idiot, keep up the messuage in buildings, closes and gardens, and the land without waste, and sustain the services and other charges due.
