Commission of oyer and terminer to Nicholas Carreu, William Tauk and John Colepeper of the county of Sussex, on information that Nicholas Cat of Retherfeld, John Cat of Retherfeld, William Cat of Retherfeld, Robert Cat of Retherfeld, Thomas Kent of Retherfeld, William Gerveys of Retherfeld, John Clere of Ferenthe, William Maynard of Ferenthe, Peter Knyght of Wythiham, Stephen atte Persones of Wythiham, William Philippot of Wythiham, and others, broke the park of Franchame in Wadhurst, co. Sussex, parcel of the temporalities of the archbishopric of Canterbury, while it was in the king's hand on account of the late voidance of the archbishopric, hunted therein without licence, carried away deer, left other deer wounded with arrows, and assaulted the parker and one of his servants.
