Commission to Adam Botener, mayor of Coventre, John Seyward and Clerc, bailiffs of Coventre, Thomas Nassyngton, John Percy, John John Botener, John Papenham, John Hawe, Richard Loffe, John Knyght, William Lybard, Richard Dodenhale, John Swyneshed, John Dystere, John Carleton, William Corby, John Poumfret and John Wichard, upon the petition of the king's clerk, John Shephey, and Ralph Hunte, of Coventre, that in the prosecution of their business and the king's business in divers courts within the realm they go in fear of divers of the commonalty of Coventre, to compel four of the better sort of every mistery in that town to give security under a heavy penalty for the good behaviour of all of their mistery towards the said petitioners, their men and servants, and to certify before Michaelmas touching the same.
