Commission, during pleasure, to Thomas de Sandwyco and Henry de Goshale to be keepers of the town and port of Sandwich, and of the coast as far as Dover, during the absence of the fleet of the Cinque Ports, which was summoned to be at Portsmouth by Monday after the Nativity of St. Mary last to resist the king of France in the duchy of Aquitaine as in the said port on account of its ample size a very large number of vessels can put in at the same time and this is a danger to the town and the adjacent parts.
