of oyer and terminer to Robert Malet and William de on complaint by John le Sumenur, bailiff of Edmund the earl in his liberty of Berkhamstede, touching the persons who Edmund Waleraund (convicted in the king's court before Elias de and Robert de Gravele by a recognition of an assize of novel which was summoned before them between William atte Grove le Archer, and Walter de la Haye and the said Edmund and at Berkhamstede, of disseisin of a tenement there) when arrested by John, by order of the said justices, to be imprisoned according to placed him in sanctuary in the church of St. Peter, Berkhamand after keeping him there in safe custody for a day and a night him therefrom and let him go free.
