Memorandum: This letter when sealed was delivered in the church of St. Mary, Salisbury, 7 November, 17 Edward I., by R. bishop of Bath and Wells, chancellor, to the ambassadors of the king of Norway; and the original letters, together with the following letter, were delivered on the same day in the same church by the said chancellor to the bishop of Durham, in the presence of the bishop of Worcester, W. de Valen and J. de Warenna, earl of Surrey, to be delivered by the said bishop of Durham into the wardrobe.
