Commission to Thomas Candour, doctor of decrees, Michae] Carvanell, bachelor in either law, Robert Basset and Edmund Shaa, citizens and aldermen of London, to hear and determine an appeal by Robert Parker, citizen and draper of London, who states that whereas he and John Kirkeby, citizen and late draper of London, made an account of and came to an agreement about certain merchandise and the matter was ended nevertheless the said John afterwards brought him before Master John Aleyn, doctor of laws, lieutenant or commissary of the king's brother Richard, duke of Gloucester, constable of England, in the court of the constableship, concerning the pretended detention of 2001. due to the said John Kirkeby on this account, and the said John Aleyn, being chosen as arbiter by them both, condemned the said Robert to the said John Kirkeby without proof in the sum of 86/. by his award and refused to hear the said Robert and publicly said that he wished to condemn him in the sum of 3307. and Michael Denyse, gentleman, and John Dey his pledges in 2002. and that he had received them in tribunal in the White Hall within the palace of Westminster on 20 May, 14 Edward IV. although he had not done so nor had they pledged themselves for the said Robert,
