Grant for life to William Hastynges, knight, lord Hastynges, of the offices of constable of the king's castle of Notyngham, porter or keeper of the gate of the same castle, steward and keeper of the king's forest of Shirwode and keeper of the parks of Beskewode and Clypston and the king's woods of Billowe, Birkeland, Rumwode, Ouselond and Fulwode, co. Nottingham, receiving 40 marks yearly for the said offices from the king's manor or lordship of Bollesover, co. Derby, and a yearly rent of 9/. for the wages of nine foresters appointed by him to keep the said forest, viz. 20s. yearly for each of them, from the king's meadows by the said castle called Kyngesmedowes and the profits of pannage and herbage of the said parks and all rents or other profits from the said forest. And this without fine or fee. By K.
