Commission to Humphrey Stafford of Suthwyk, knight, John Dowerissh, Wynard, John Crokker and Richard Wynsloo to arrest John of Dertmouth, Walter Cok and Ralph Mercer within the county Devon and bring them before the king and council, The king lately John Wenlok of Wenlok, knight, and others to examine the of John le Veer, bailiff of Ermewe in Seland, and Adrian Sinoet, of Monkered in Flanders, on behalf of themselves and other partvictuallers and masters of six ships of Flanders that the said ships taken by certain subjects of the king in certain ships of the realm which the said John, Walter and Ralph with others were part-owners, and masters, contrary to the truce between the king and Philip, duke of Burgundy, and despoiled of wine and other goods and and certain habiliments and gear to the value of 4,330 crowns, after consideration of their examination the king gave judgment by the of the council that restitution should be made, but the said John le and Adrian have failed to get restitution.
