Mandate to the earls, barons and others of the counties of Cumberland, Westmoreland and Northumberland and other places in the Marches of Scotland to hold no treaty of truce with the Scots until the king has been consulted, as that would be to his dishonour; mandate also to Andrew de Harcla, earl of Carlisle, to inform the king without delay of the terms of the said truce, upon receipt of which information he will not delay to ordain what is to be done for his honour and advantage.
