Licence, after inquisition ad quod damnum made by Thomas de Burgh, king's clerk, escheator on this side Trent, for John son of Robert de Preston to resume possession and hold for life the manor of Waxham in Holdernesse and 4 messuages, a mill, 13 bovates of land and 60 acres of meadow in Waxham, Preston and Tunstal, co. York, held in chief as of the honor of Albemarle, which he acquired for life without licence from Andreda Haukyn; who formerly acquired the same in fee from the said John, and which were for that trespass taken into the king's hand, with remainder after the death of the said John to Ingelram son of Robert Ingram, of Preston, and Alice his wife and the heirs of their bodies, with remainder over to the right heirs of the said John. By fine of 5 marks.
