Commission of oyer and terminer to William le Botiller of Wemme, John de la Barewe and Henry de Hambury on complaint by Geoffrey de Wolseleye, parson of the chapel of Marchumleye, that Philip de Say, parson of the church of Hodenet, John, vicar of the church of Ellesmere, Richard de Rugge, John de Merton of Ellesmere, Llewelin Voyl, forester, Richard son of David de Wemme, Adam de Upton, William de Otleye, Madoc de Kyrcoyt, Edeneuet le Budel, Thomas Russel, Robert le (sic) Say, and Robert his son, Walter de Wygan, Robert son of Hugh de Say, Thomas Ostage, John de Markeleye, William de Parys of Hodenet, Robert de Parys, Hugh le Carpenter, Andrew le Carpenter, Nicholas son of Henry le Pestour, William Page, William Sutekyn, Thomas de Say, Hugh Barel, William de Holme, Thomas Cole of Prez, Henry le Clerk, Alan le Mercer of Hodenet and others carried away his goods at Marchumleye, co. Salop, besieged him within his dwelling place there for two days and more, so that neither he nor his servants could go forth for victuals, or others enter it, assaulted his servants and compelled some of them to swear not to serve him longer and without delay to depart from his service, whereby he could scarcely find any who would dare to serve him.
