Inspeximus and confirmation of a charter of John de Britannia, earl of dated at York Sunday after All Saints Day 1318, granting to son of Roger le Clerk of Qwassingburgh that he and the heirs of body and their heirs of either sex shall be free and quit of all exactions villenage or servitude; also granting to the said Humphrey and the of his body 5 messuages and 20 curtilages and 64 bovates of arable in Qwassingburgh and Highiniton; further grant to the said and the heirs of his body of 19 acres and a moiety of a perch of in Quassingburgh and Hightington, of which 10 acres and a moiety a perch of land lie in a field, which is called le Park, and the remaining acres lie in divers places in the fields of Quassingburgh and Hightington, hold subject to rendering 5s. a year at the Exchequer and to doing service and further to rendering to the earl for his life 51s. 1d. a witnesses Sirs Bertram de Mounbouch [er and William de Sulley, Oger de Pondeus, Theobald de Taylly, James de Sutton of William Benet of Boston and others. By fine of 2 marks at the instance of William de Clyf, clerk.
