of oyer and terminer to William Inge, John de Foxle, Master de Haveryng and John de Westcote, on complaint by J. bishop of Wells, that, whereas he ought to have, and his predecessors, of that place from a time, whereof the memory of man exists not, to have their swine-cots within the moor called Godenyrepaired with alder growing there, as often as was needful, Geoffrey, Glastonbury, with others broke his swine-cots, and did not permit be repaired with the alder growing there as was customary, and entered his park at Welles, co. Somerset, and his free warren hunted therein and carried away deer, hares, pheasants and parand built a weir in the water of Hertilake, co. Somerset, and divers dykes in the parts of Sowylaund, by the construction and by the flow and inundation of the water his growing corn and and pastures at Kyngesbury, Hewyssh and elsewhere in those flooded and lost, and that they carried away 3 of his cows and of the price of 60s. at Welles.
