of Hervey de Stanton, Henry le Scrope, John de Merkingand Ralph de Stokes, in consequence of a former commission, issued IT., to tallage the king's cities and demesnes, for certain reasons having been executed in London, to repair to the city and suburb thereof to assess such tallage according to the means of the tenants of the city its suburb, viz. their moveables at a fifteenth and their rents at a tenth ; tallages may be assessed separately, or in gross. The tallage is to be to the sheriffs of the city of London in order that it may be levied paid into the Exchequer. The commissioners are to appear before treasurer and barons of the Exchequer to certify their proceedings. Parl.
