Tlic like to Hamo Hauteyn and John Horn touching an appeal which Christiana, late the wife of Simon le Mouner of Flittewyk, and Sibyl, Alice and Matilda her sisters bring in the county of Bedford against Robert de Berchamsted and William Jolyf, iu Newgate gaol for the death of the said Simon ; also an appeal which Cicely daughter of John de Bray of Barton brings in that county against the same persons for the deatli of the said John at Barton. Commission to Nicholas de Stapleton and Alan de Walkinghamto further examine a certain roll exhibited before the king and council in the parliament at Michaelmas last, containing divers injuries and grievances committed against the king and the poor men of the town of Carlisle by Alexander de Bolton, mayor of the said town, Gilbert de Grimesdal and John le Peleter, and to hear, correct, and determine the said injuries and grievances.
