Signification to the archbishop of Canterbury of the royal assent to the election of Master Oliver de Sutton, dean of the cathedral church of St. Mary, Lincoln, as bishop thereof. N[icholasJ de Hamme, sub-prior of St. Swithin's, Winchester, Philip de Oxonia and Geoffrey le Norais, bringing news of the death of Nicholas, sometime bishop of Winchester, have letters of licence to elect. Appointment, during pleasure, of Walter de Essex and Nicholas de Dyham to the custody of the bishopric of London, void and in the king's hands. Writ de intendendo to the tenants of the bishopric.
