Promise to Bouruncinus Walteri, Orlandinus de Podio, Richard Guidicioni, Henry de Podio, and their fellows, merchants of Lucca, to pay them 23,000/. before next Michaelmas, on condition that they answer to the king for the sum received by them from the customs of Ireland, or in any other way there (except 1,000/. for which they have answered already), as also for that received from the customs of England from Ascension, 7 Edward I. which are to be allowed them in part satisfaction of the above debt. Vacated because surrendered and the money was paid.
