Mandate to Orlandinus de Podio and his fellows, merchants of Lucca, to pay Thomas de Weylaund and his fellows, justices of the Bench, a moiety of their yearly fees for last Michaelmas term, to wit, to Thomas 30 marks, to Walter de Helynn 25, John de Luvetot 25, and Roger de Leic[estre] 20 marks. The like to the same to pay Ralph de Hengham and his fellows, justices for pleas before the king, in like manner, to wit, to Ralph 30 marks, to Nicholas de Stapelton 25, and to Walter de Wymburne 20. Grant to Bartholomew de Suthlegh to whom the king lately committed the manor of Richard de Hardern (who is non compos) of Hampton, to hold during pleasure, at a rent according to its extent, as made by the sheriff of Warwick of the issues thereof to the present, provided that he answer for the extent for the future. Licence for John de Vescy to demise for life (by a writing which the king has inspected) to Peter le Talerur, land to the value of 100 marks yearly, in his manor of Chatton, held in chief. The like for Simon de Monte Acuto to demise, for life, to Nicholas de Craueford, his manor of Thurlebyre, held in chief. Pardon to Hugh de Wynton, in Shrewsbury gaol for the death of Hugh son of John Louwhe, on testimony by Hugh son of Otto and Robert son of John, steward of the household, that he killed him in self-defence. Mandate to Reiner de Luka and Orlandinus de Podio, merchants of Lucca, to receive 3,000 marks which the treasurer and chamberlains of the exchequer will deliver to them of the tallage last assessed upon the commonalty of the Jews of England, and to deliver that sum to Giles de Audenardo, king's clerk, keeper of the works of the Tower of London for the said works.
