Commission of oyer and terminer to Thomas de Weylaund and William de Saham, it having been shown on behalf of Peter le Romeyn, John fiz la Persone, Thomas son of Peter son of Reiner and Matilda de Cringelford, that whereas Ranulph de Dylham four years ago was in custody in the prison of Robert son of Roger at Horslbrd on a charge of larceny, and was convicted by judgment of the said Robert's court there and hanged; certain persons of the county of Norfolk, pretending that the said Ranulph had a wife of the name of Matilda de Dylham, when he had no wife all his life, have obtained a writ to appeal the said petitioners of the death of the said Ranulph under the name of the said Matilda before the justices of the Bench at Shrewsbury, and in order to outlaw them, are striving to sue the appeal unjustly. The commissioners are therefore commanded to hear the appeal speedily, and the sheriff of Norfolk is commanded to prove the said appeal with the original writ, and to have the parties and other things touching the appeal before them on the day appointed by them.
