Commission to Guy de Taunton to enquire touching a claim made by Master Kicholas de Cranford, parson of the church of Gillingham, to the tithe of venison taken in the king's forest of Gillingham, of the hay and herbage sold in the glades thereof, and of the pannage due by reason of his church ; also to compensation for the tithe of the glade of Marleye, Avhereof he as.serts that his predecessors Avere possessed when that glade was arable land titheable to the said church. In accordance with his request, enquiry is also to be made touching the length and breadth of a messuage and close of the king conterminous with his court in Gillingham, on the north side, and of its yearly value, and whether he himself has any plot in the said town of equivalent value which might be exchanged therewith.
