Answer to the archbishop of York, on a case where the chapter of St. Mary's, York, had first granted the church of Gametord to R. clerk, and afterwards had presented L. clerk, to the same, that a patron has the right to present, but not to grant, and that the person presented should be instituted. Faculty to the abbot of Cluny to make ordinance for the election of the prior of the monastery of St. Pancras, notwithstanding the composition made between the earl of Warren, its patron, and one of the abbot's predecessors, which gives occasion to the prior and monks of St. Pancras to rebel against the church of Cluny.
