Writ to Walter de Gloucestre, escheator south of Trent. 17 August 30 Edward I. [1302.] : Mardesfeld. 6 October. wife of Richard Husewyf of Louseby holds in chief in the name of third part of a messuage in Mardesfeld by the service of paying 5s. at the exchequer by the hands of the sheriff of Leicester ; holds 16 acres of arable land. were taken into the king's hand because the said Agnes without licence at the feast of St. Andrew 29 Edward I. [1302.] Burgiensius son of Den Burgeys de Ortesio, bailiff and keeper of Master Arnald de Lupy de Tylyo in Suth Creke and Marsham, two years church goods of Suth Creke and Marsham, to the 227]. 6s. 8d.; also armour, muniments, coverlets and ornaments and stock, to the value of 661. 13s. 4d. Burgiensius received from the exchequer in the name of the said master for his wages on two occasions 243/. and of other money Master Arnald 72/. and crossed to parts beyond seas with the said goods. [1301.] the men of Simon de Segrave lodged at Est Rasen at a house which to Henry son of the steward of Est Rasen, on Thursday after 29 Edward I, John son of Robert de Rothewell and others (named) broke the windows of the house and assaulted the said men, who raised a hue and cry, whereupon the said John and others departed. Sunday 9 September. know nothing of the arrest of goods of William de Saut, but late sheriff of London, came and delivered to them a writ INQUISITIONS as appears in the writ annexed to this process, and Luke de and Richard de Caumpes, late sheriffs of London, delivered to a memorandum indented relating to the goods of the said William as in the memorandum attached to this process.
