Writ to John de Haveryng, justice of North Wales. Bryanston. March 25 Edward I. [1297.] Inquisition : Launvays. Thursday before the Invention of the Holy Jerewarth Gogh and David Whith, the king's tenants of Turkelin, held in time of the prince a tenement in Glascrut and Thleghok at a yearly rent 34s. 8d. After the said tenement came to the king's hand, Sir Gocelin de Badelesmere brother Llewellyn, who, after the death of the said prince, caused the island of Anglesey to be extended, by the king's command, extended said tenement at 34s. 8d., and beyond that payment unjustly extended land of the bondmen of the said Jerewarth and David at 24s. 2d., which thus exacted yearly because every sheriff on his account since the time of said extent has been charged with both the said payments.
