MISCELLANEOUS 475 of Osprenge belong 154 knights fees as of the honor of Peverell, which Hamo de Gatton lately held, Thomas son and heir of Dene holds 14 fees in Thrulegh and Borstall of the yearly value of in Boctone Malerbe of the yearly value of 100s., fee in Worneselle value of 100s.; John Beneyt and John Petyt hold of him at 4 fee of the yearly value of 40s.; the said Thomas owes for castle 5s. every twenty weeks and suit to the court of Osprenge weeks, homage to the lord of that manor . . . relief, ward and 30s. for ward of Dover castle every twenty weeks ; Robert son and de Northwode, knight, holds 2 fees in Gatton, co. Surrey, by court of Osprenge, homage and services as above ; they are of the of 20/. ;he owes therefor to the ward of Dover castle 20s. [every twenty that quarter of a fee called Godesenemy of Eslynge William, earl in right of Juliana his wife holds a moiety in Osprenge of the yearly and Walter . . . of a moiety of a moiety of the said quarter in the yearly value of 12s. 6d.;... part of a moiety of the said quarter of the yearly value of 19s. 4d. . . . suit to the court of Osprenge, for himself homage and services as above, and jointly owing for castle 2s. 6d. every twenty weeks ; of the 3 fees, which John de Kent of the said manor of Osprenge by suit, homage and services 10s. ; it is of the yearly value of 10 marks ; Reynold de Cobham quarter and a moiety of a quarter of a fee of the manor of Osprenge . . . every twenty weeks 3s. 9d., of the yearly value of 10 marks, Henry de. . . of Reynold de Rokesle by homage and owes to him for castle . . . 50s. ; of them Margaret late the wife of Stephen de knight, holds a knight's fee at Okemere of the said Reynold and the ward of Dover castle 10s. every twenty weeks ; the said Reynold manor of Sentlyngge, co. Hugh de Gerounde lately held, Henry de Chalfhunte, knight, in Wrensted of the yearly value of 100s., 4 fee in Essherst, co. Kent, value of 10/., a fee in Dodyngton, co. Buckingham, of the yearly 20/., Thomas del Haye holds a fee in Foxcote, co. Buckingham, of value of 10 marks, and owes homage to the said Henry, and for castle 10s. every twenty weeks ; the said Henry holds the said the manor of Osprenge by suit, homage and services, as above, and of Dover castle 30s. every three weeks ; John de Vyene holds a a fee in Potewode in Osprenge and Thornherst in Hedecrone of the Osprenge by suit, homage and services as above, and owes nothing Dover castle ; it is of the yearly value of 20s. ; Roger de Northwode 2 parts of a fee in Herietesham, of the yearly value of 10 marks ; INQUISITIONS earl of Huntingdon, holds in the same town a third of a fee in right Juliana his wife, of the yearly value of 10 marks; he and the said Roger the said fee owe suit to the court of Osprenge, homage and other services, nothing for ward of Dover castle.
