Commitment to John Gloucestre- by mainprise of Thomas of the county of Hertford, gentilman, and Bybbesworth of London, gentilman, of the keeping all the lands late of Robert Wychyngham, tenant in chief of See Inquisitions Post Mortem (Chancery), Henry VI, file 156, no. 14, the king ; to hold from the time of the death of the said Robert until the full age of John his son and heir, together with the marriage of the said heir, rendering for the said keeping and marriage as much as may be agreed upon between him and the treasurer and finding fit maintenance for the said heir; with clause touching maintenance of houses, enclosures and buildings and support of charges : and if the heir died before he attain full age leaving an heir within age, then the said John Gloucestre shall have the keeping of all the Jands rents and services of such heir, during his minority, together with his marriage, and so from heir to heir until one of the heirs of Robert shall have attained full age and the said John Gloucestre shall have duly effected the marriage ; and the said John Gloucestre shall have the keeping of all the lands, rents and services which may in any wise come to the said John the son or his heir, during the minority of the said John the son or his heir, by or after the death of Joan late the wife of Nicholas Wychyngham deceased (defuncti), or of any other person.
