Commitment to John Skydmore, knight, by mainprise of Thomas Yonge of Hereford, co. Hereford, gentilman, and John West of Heynefryston, co. Hereford, yoman, of the keeping of a moiety of the castle of Ewyas and a moiety of a moiety of the lordship of Ewyas,in the march of Wales, which came to the king's hands by the death of Henry late duke of Warwick and by reason of the minority of Anne his daughter and heir, and are still in the king's hands by reason of the minority of George Nevyll, the kinsman and one of the heirs of the said Anne ; to hold from 16 February last until the full age of the said George, at a yearly farm of the 8l. 5s. for which answer has been made to the king, and an increment of 20d.; with clause touching maintenance of houses, enclosures and buildings and support of charges ; and with proviso for the increase of the farm. By bill of the treasurer. Dated etc.
