Commitment to John Poulet, by mainprise of William Warre, and Thomas Giffard of the county of Devon, gentilman , the keeping of the manor of Brumpton Regis, co. Somerset, Peter Besils, chivaler , held of the king in chief on the day his death, and which is in the king's hand by the death of the Peter and because he died without an heir ; to hold the same Michaelmas last for 7 years, rendering for the keeping 10 and an increment of 6s. 8d., yearly at Easter and Michaelmas ; with clause touching maintenance of houses, enclosures buildings, and support of charges; and proviso that if any person shall be willing without fraud to give more by way increment for the said keeping, then the said John shall be to pay such larger sum if he will have the keeping.
