Commitment (with like clause) to Thomas Kyngesland and Hugh Kyngesland, by mainprise of Nicholas Asshton of the of Cornwall, gentilman , and Thomas Whitefeld of the of Devon, gentilman , of the keeping of 3 tenements and 3 gardens annexed to the same tenements in Ilferdicomb, co. whereof John Perys of Ilferdicomb died seised in his as of fee, and which are in the king's hand by reason of idiocy and natural imbecility of Richard son and heir of the John; to hold the same from 24 March 8 Henry VI for as as the premises shall remain in the king's hand for the cause rendering yearly for the keeping the 13s. 4d. at which premises are extended, at Michaelmas and Easter equally, and fit maintenance for the said heir; with proviso that if other person shall be willing without fraud to give more by of increment for the said keeping, then the said Thomas and are bound to pay such larger sum if they will have the : as the said Thomas and Hugh have surrendered in the for cancellation the letters patent of 24 March 8 Henry the keeping of the said tenements and gardens to them as long as they should remain in the king's hand for the aforesaid at a yearly farm of the extent thereof or as much might be agreed upon between them and the treasurer by the then next to come, and have now made agreement the treasurer.
