Commitment to John Esmond, the king's serjeant, one of the ushers of the king's chamber, by mainprise of John Reymes of the county of Norfolk and William Marchall of the county of Southampton, of the keeping of all the lands late of John Cressy, who held of the king by knight service, which have come to the king's hands by the death of the said John Cressy and by reason of the minority of his son and heir, who is in the king's ward ; to hold the same until the full age of the said heir, together with the marriage of the heir, and so from heir to heir until one of them shall have attained full age, rendering for the keeping and marriage as much as may be agreed upon between him and the treasurer with the assent of the king's council, finding fit maintenance for the heir, maintaining the houses, buildings, woods, enclosures, and gardens pertaining to the said lands, and doing and supporting all other charges incumbent thereon.
