Commitment to John Lacche, by mainprise of John Pecok of county of Somerset and William Wyot of the county of Devon, the keeping of all the messuages and lands in Le Forde in the of Ipplepen, co. Devon, which the alien abbot of Fougéres Brittany alienated to Henry atte Forde and Juliana his wife in without licence, and of a messuage and an English acre of land the manor of Ipplepen, which Henry Snell acquired in fee the said abbot, (who held the said lands of the king in chief of the foundation of his church); to hold the same from next for as long as the lands shall remain in the king's for the causes aforesaid, rendering 10s. yearly by equal at Easter and Michaelmas, as John Hille the last farmer rendered, and an increment of 10s. yearly, and maintaining houses and buildings.
