Whereas of late, in consequence of an inquisition taken before John de Mitford, late escheator in the county of Northumberland, finding that two-thirds of a moiety of the manor of Neuton by the Sea, two-thirds of a moiety of the manor of Hibbourne, twothirds of 3 husbandlands in Hibbourne, two-thirds of 3 husbandlands, 6 acres of land and meadow, and 4 cottages in Yerdhill, and two-thirds of a watermill in Yerdhill, which are held of the king in chief by knight service, and two-thirds of 2 carucates and 36 acres of land and meadow in Yerdhill, 8 acres of husbandland in Estdechebourne, a cottage in Alnewyk, and a messuage and 18 acres of land in Ellyngton, which are held of others than the king, came into the hands of Edward III by the death of John Wendoute and by reason of the minority of Robert Wendoute, his son and heir, (who lately died while in the king's ward), and were then in the king's hand, and that Alice daughter of John Syward the son of Alice Syward, one of the sisters of the said John Wendoute, Robert de Hibbourne the son of Isabel, his second sister, John de Graham the son of Mary, his third sister, Margery daughter of Robert de Lilbourne the son of Elizabeth, his fourth sister, Margery the wife of Richard de Wetewang and Elizabeth, her sister, daughters of Agnes, his fifth sister, and Margaret late the wife of Thomas Sampson and Agnes, her sister, daughters of Christiana, his sixth sister, were kinsfolk and next heirs of Robert Wendoute, and that Alice daughter of John and Margery daughter of Robert were then minors, and the others of full age, the king, for a fine paid in the hanaper, respited until a day now past the homages and fealties of Robert de Hibbourne, John de Graham, Richard, Elizabeth, Margaret and Agnes, and ordered the said late escheator to make a partition of the premises into six equal parts, and deliver to the said Robert de Hibbourne, John de Graham, Richard and Margery, Elizabeth, Margaret and Agnes their respective pourparties thereof, retaining the other pourparties in the king's hand until further order, provided always that each of the said parceners should have a share of the lands held in chief, and so be the king's tenant ; and whereas it is found by divers inquisitions taken before William de Thorneburgh, late escheator in the said county, that the aforesaid Margery daughter of Robert died without issue while a minor in the king's ward, whereby her pourparty of the premises ought to to the said Robert Hibbourne, Richard Wetewange and his wife, and Margaret late the wife of Thomas Sampson, to Alan de Graham, brother of the aforesaid John de Graham, Christiana wife of Richard de Lincoln and Joan her sister, of Joan de Pacok, sister of the aforesaid John Syward of Alice, who are of full age : the king, for mark paid in hanaper, has respited until the quinzaine of Michaelmas next homages of the said Robert, Richard, Margaret, Alan, Richard Joan, and orders Sampson Hardyng, escheator in the county Northumberland, to take their fealties, and cause them to have of the pourparty of the said Margery daughter of Robert.
