Grant to William Hankeford, by mainprise of William de Horbury, clerk, and Emery Fitz Waryn, of the keeping of all the lands which for any cause might pertain to the king by reason of the minority of the heir of John Denbaud, esquire, to hold the same from the time of the death of the said John until the full age of his heir, as well as the marriage of the said heir, and so from heir to heir until one of them shall have attained full age and been married by him, rendering for the keeping the extent of the said lands, paying for the marriage (if it ought to pertain to the king) 457. at Michaelmas next, finding fit sustenance for the heir, and doing the real services and all other charges incumbent on the lands; as John Maudeleyn, yeoman of the king's robes, to whom the said keeping and marriage was granted by two letters patent dated respectively 21 November and 7 December, 14 . 51 have his estate therein, and to that intent has surrendered the said letters in the Chancery for cancellation.
