Grant to the abbot of Westminster, by mainprise of William toket of Westminster, Robert Weston of Wedon and John Sanford of Fulham, of the keeping of the alien priory of Stoke and all its lands, rents and possessions, together with all the goods, chattels and estover belonging thereto, to hold the same for as long as the priory shall remain in the king's hand on account of the war with France, rendering 100 marks yearly at the Exchequer by equal portions at Easter and Michaelmas, provided always that he pay tenths and quotas with the clergy for the said priory, keep the houses, buildings, woods, enclosures and. gardens pertaining to the priory without waste and destruction, and do and support the real services and other charges incumbent on the priory, lands, rents and possessions. He is not to be expelled or removed from the said keeping, even though some other person may be willing to offer or give more therefor. By p.s. [7690.]
