Order to John Fraunceys, the elder, escheator in the county of Nottingham, pursuant to an inquisition taken by John de Gaytford, late escheator in the same county, shewing that Henry de Carleton of Lincoln held in his demesne as of fee 28s. of rent of assise in Carleton in Lyndryk, co. Lincoln, of the king in chief, as in socage, by the service of 6d. for a pair of gilt spurs to be paid yearly at Michaelmas in the Exchequer by the hands of the sheriff of Nottingham, and that Thomas de Carleton, John de Carleton, Walter de Carleton and Henry de Carleton are his sons and next heirs, and of full age, to take the fealties of the said heirs, make a partition of the rent into four equal parts, and cause the said heirs to have full seisin of their respective pourparties thereof.
